Friday Night Lights @ Cowboys Stadium

Last weekend, we took the kids to see the first weekend of Texas High School football playoffs at the new Cowboys Stadium. WOW...the stadium is VERY nice, however somewhat difficult to appreciate with three 1.5 year olds in tow. All three really enjoyed cheering (for both teams), the band and the nacho chips. Marlee REALLY wanted to practice walking up and down the steps...I wouldn't let her and I think that lead to us leaving at half-time.

Here are a few pictures...

(Actually we didn't get lost, it took us quite a while to get on the field.)

Tough Days

As a mom of triplets...I'll admit some days are tough. Today is one
of those days. The kids haven't napped well (time change isn't very
easy to a 1.5 year old). All the fits and tears create a challenge for
me. How do I create a little more fun? This afternoon we had our
first fort...they LOVED (for like 15 minutes). Without a tough day, I
would have never been able to experience the smiles and giggles from
this fort!

Our Three Amigos

I know I have a limited time until the kids will pick their own costume, so this year I did something with a theme of three. I've seen the three little pigs, three bears, and even three blind mice. We decided on the less seen...Three Amigos. Sam's family has a LOVE of this movie...like they could probably perform the whole thing from memory. I'm not sure other people share the same the love, as we were asked if we were pirates, mariachi band...three amigos wasn't usually the first guess.

We've been planning this costume since last year. Sam and I bought the sombreros on our little vaca to Cancun last January. I made the vests and pants. Aunt JuliAnne, expert at the hot glue gun (trained via ACU SingSong), helped with the finishing touches.

We had BIG plans to wear our costumes often last week. Beau came down with the croop...so most of those plans were missed. We did debut our costumes at our church fall festival.

Uncle Heath took Beau, Lilly & Marlee (individually) on this big kid slide. They LOVED it! You can see him climbing up the stairs with Marlee.

Marlee's favorite booth was decorate your cookie...
She figured out it tasted better to just eat the icing...

Wherever there is injustice, you will find us.
Wherever there is suffering, we'll be there.
Wherever liberty is threatened, you will find...
